Our Story
When we decided to start 1:1 Revolution, all we knew was that we wanted to find a way to get computers into the hands of every single sixth-grader at the Benjamin Banneker Charter School in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Today we’ve joined a small group of pioneers who are shaping the digital education of the future, and we’re doing our part by re-thinking what a student laptop should be.
The vast majority of the sixth-graders at the Banneker School are poor, and don’t have computers in their homes. But when we’re finished, every single one of them will have their own laptop - all while lowering the School’s IT costs.
Of course we plan to help all schools achieve what we call “24/7 1 to 1 computing” and help usher in the tide of digital education. But we won’t be satisfied until every chid - regardless of family income - has her own computer.
